Boy Scouts of America celebrates 100 years of developing youth into
future leaders and citizens. BSA continues to reinforce traditional principles
such as those carved into the Scout Law:
A scout is Trustworthy,
Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient,
Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.
BSA leadership is comprised mostly of Adult volunteers that understand
the need for the positive and unique opportunities experienced in scouting.
The Pine Forest Scouting District services an eight county area in South
Central Georgia including: Bleckley, Dodge, Johnson, Laurens, Montgomery,
Telfair, Treutlen, and Wheeler. The district staff exists to provide support
and training to the Troop and Pack leaders as they generate a successful
scouting experience for the youth. Our District Executive, Harold Wells, serves
as a Professional Scouter working with local volunteers providing an additional
level of support. If you need assistance, please contact a local leader or call the
Council office at 478-743-9386 or 1-800-272-9386. Please visit
